Asher HaVon won Season 25 of The Voice after a fierce battle. However, fans were quick to call out the gender disparity in the top artists after Karen Waldrup was booted early
The fans voted Asher HaVon to win it all on Season 25 of The Voice.
In Monday’s nail-biting episode, five finalists belted it out for a coveted spot at the top. Karen Waldrup, Nathan Chester, Josh Sanders, and Asher HaVon sailed into the finals through the usual route. Bryan bagged his finale berth by winning over the audience with an instant save vote.
Fans were tasked to vote for their favorite budding star to claim the throne. However, the polls closed at 7 a.m. EST on Tuesday morning with the reveal coming at night. For their final performance, each of the competitors sang two songs — one upbeat and one ballad.

After the massive reveal, fans confessed their dissatisfaction at the final results. Some recognized that Karen’s early kick highlighted a gender disparity in the finals. They snidely wrote with an eye roll emoji: “All men top 4 how exciting.”
Karen’s kick bothered quite a few fans. One wrote: “I am beyond mad. Karen should have won.”
Nathan got the ball rolling with his performance of It’s Your Thing by The Isley Brothers as his uptempo song. Each singer also performed a ballad, with Josh being the first to take the stage, singing Go Rest High on That Mountain by Vince Gill.
John hailed Asher as “the best vocalist in the competition” following his stunning performance of Donna Summer’s ‘Last Dance’. Karen then took to the stage with a heartfelt version of Rascal Flatts’ ‘What Hurts the Most’. Bryan performed Benson Boone’s Beautiful things.

Josh opened the second round with a lively rendition of Randy Houser’s ‘Boots On’. Nathan made a comeback with Leon Russell’s classic ‘A Song for You’, while Karen returned to perform Jo Dee Messina’s ‘I’m Alright’. Bryan’s performance was a controversial take on George Michael’s Freedom! ’90. Asher brought the house down, ending the show on a high note with Dolly Parton’s iconic ‘I Will Always Love You’.
While most teams had representation, Chance the Rapper found himself without any contestants in the last episode as both Maddi Jane and Serenity Arce were eliminated. On the flip side, John Legend secured two spots in the finals with both Nathan and Bryan representing him.
