Tia, a 25-year-old contestant, left the coaches of The Voice spellbound with her powerful Blind Audition and poignant backstory.

When the show returns to Channel 7 and 7plus this month, viewers will witness a moment that deeply moved superstar coaches LeAnn RimesAdam LambertKate Miller-Heidke, and Guy Sebastian.

Tia’s journey to The Voice stage is deeply personal. Her father, who has been her greatest supporter, is currently battling a rare and terminal form of brain cancer. Determined to make him proud, Tia is seizing the opportunity to perform on the show while he can still watch her.

“We don’t know how long dad will have left. So, I’m taking every day as it comes,”

Tia shared. Her heartfelt rendition of Ed Sheeran’s Life Goes On not only captivated the audience but also earned her a standing ovation from the coaches.

Kate Miller-Heidke remarked on Tia’s unique approach:

“We get a lot of singers who come out and kind of assault us with their runs, they come all the way to us, whereas I felt like you drew us to you.”
