John Legend
(Seasons 16-22)

Fans were quick to notice that John is not returning for the 2023 season as of the latest announcement for Season 23, although he’s not yet issued a statement. It’s unclear whether he’s just rotating for the season, or if he’s actually departing from the show for good. Stay tuned!

Nick is one of the stars who has been on rotation on The Voice. When Ariana Grande replaced him for the 2021 season, a report suggested that he’d be back, although he hasn’t yet.

“She is replacing Nick Jonas, who is a [coach] on the current season, but he isn’t leaving for good. Nick will remain on rotation with other stars that have appeared on the show. The chances are he will be back soon,” a source told Page Six. We’ll have to see if he comes back again soon.

Camila has only appeared on the show for the 2022 season thus far, but was not featured in the coach list for Season 23, airing in 2023. She has yet to make any statement about whether she plans to return, or why she’s leaving the show for good. Stay tuned!

(Seasons 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22)

Gwen has left and come back to the show multiple times, often leaving for work obligations like her return to music with her latest solo singles, or her Las Vegas residency. While she’s leaving the show before the 2023 season again, it’s entirely possible she may return – although her husband Blake Shelton will no longer be on the show either, so Season 22 may have been her last as well.

(Seasons 1-23)

Blake made the surprising announcement that he’ll be leaving the show upon the announcement of Season 23 in 2023, saying: “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after next season. This show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns and I want to thank everyone at The Voice from NBC, every producer, the writers, musicians, crew and catering people, you are the best. It takes a lot of work, passion, and adult beverages (Ha!) to pull off a live show twice a week.” Find out what else he said.
