A dynamic duo took the field in Philadelphia prior to kickoff, and neither belonged to the Eagles nor Commanders.
Less than an hour before the NFC Championship game at Lincoln Financial Field, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski showed that their long-standing relationship still delivers chemistry on the field, though not in its prime.
The Fox NFL crew encouraged Brady, who is calling the game on Sunday, to throw a pass out to Gronkowski on the pregame broadcast.
“You gotta put him in motion, Tom!” Jimmy Johnson yelled.

The five-time Super Bowl MVP rubbed his hands together for warmth and threw a quick spiral to his former tight end, who ran downfield trying to dodge and not succumb to the tackles of his fellow crew members.

Brady and Gronkowski were teammates for nine seasons in New England and shared two Super Bowl titles together as Patriots in 2014 and 2018.
The following season was Brady’s last with Bill Belichick and the Patriots, which was the end of a 20-year era for the franchise, while Gronkowski retired.
However, the five-time Pro Bowler came out of retirement to play with Brady in Tampa Bay and the two went on to earn a third Super Bowl ring together with the Buccaneers in 2020.

Under Brady, Gronkowski had four 1,000-plus-yard seasons and four All-Pro nominations.
In 2019, during his off-year, Gronkowski joined the Fox broadcast crew and was one of the members to welcome Brady this season in his first season calling games for the network.
