DJ Vlad’s Dream Interview: Why Eminem is His Top Pick
A popular YouTube host recently shared that his ultimate dream interview guest is none other than Eminem. While he didn’t disclose a full list of potential dream guests, Vlad made it clear that sitting down with the rap icon would be a career-defining moment for him.
Speaking with Bootleg Kev, Vlad explained his deep connection to Eminem’s journey in hip-hop:
“Me and Eminem are the same age. Me and Eminem have shared a similar experience in terms of our love for hip-hop. Obviously, he’s an artist. I never went in that direction, and he became one of the biggest artists ever to do it. But in terms of the love, what led up to us pursuing these careers in hip-hop, the actual love for the art form, and us both being white… I don’t think he’s ever done an interview like that with somebody where it’s just a sit-down. His interviews are very protected. If me and Em sat down for two or three hours, I think it would be the biggest thing he’s ever done, media-wise.”
Vlad positioned himself as a dedicated Eminem fan, which makes it surprising that he seems unaware of the extensive interviews Marshall Mathers has done over the years. While Vlad envisions this as a unique and groundbreaking moment, Eminem has already participated in raw, in-depth conversations—such as his sit-down with KXNG Crooked on Crook’s Corner, the “Kamikaze” interview with Sway Calloway, and a nationally televised conversation with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes.
