ITV This Morning pulled off air as Dermot O’Leary makes announcement
This Morning fans were left surprised as the show concluded earlier than usual at 12:15pm on Wednesday.
During the broadcast, host Dermot O’Leary informed viewers of the schedule change, stating: “That’s it from us, finishing a little bit earlier today for an ITV news special.”
The adjustment follows Ruth Langsford’s announcement on Loose Women the previous day. The presenter confirmed that the popular panel show would not air on Wednesday 30 October due to a special broadcast.
Loose Women, which typically runs from Monday to Friday starting at 12.30pm and wrapping up at 1.30pm, made way for the ITV News special this time around.
Ruth interrupted her guests to make the announcement, saying: “I’ve got to stop you there,” before expressing gratitude to the guests and viewers. “We are running out of time massively. Thank you so much. That is it for today; we are not here tomorrow. It is the Budget, how lovely”, reports the Mirror.

Viewers can tune in to watch The Chancellors Budget 2024, which will begin at 12.15pm and end at 1.50pm. Loose Women will be back on Thursday at its usual time of 12.30pm while This Morning will finish at its usual time on Thursday of 12:30pm.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves will deliver Labour’s first Budget for 14 years on Wednesday. She has warned that it will involve “difficult decisions.”
It will outline the government’s plans for raising or lowering taxes. It also includes major decisions about spending on health, schools, police, and other public services.

Meanwhile, Wednesday’s episode of This Morning saw hosts Dermot and Alison Hammond interview a collection of stars including Strictly Come Dancing’s Pete Wicks, actress Anna Maxwell Martin and The Great British Bake Off winner Nancy Birtwhistle for a cooking segment.
Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers were quick to react to This Morning finishing earlier as one person said: “Wait where did #thismorning go… The budget doesn’t need to be on every channel”, as a different account put: “#ThisMorning ending 15 minutes early because of the Chancellor Budget” while another added: “#ThisMorning bye” with a waving emoji.
This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on both ITV and ITV X while Loose Women follows at 12:30pm.
