Emmerdale’s Michael Parr has confirmed his partner is pregnant with their first child.
The star, who plays Ross Barton in the ITV soap, revealed the wonderful news on his Instagram yesterday.
The pictures on the post are of himself and girlfriend Isabelle Du Plessis at the beach, and in what appears to be a hotel bedroom. Isabelle is holding her bump in the snaps, with Mike embracing her.
There is also a cute image of some writing in the sand, which reads MJP, IDP, SOON 2 B 3.
‘In our Mum and Dad era’, the caption wrote alongside.

Plenty of Michael’s Emmerdale friends and co-stars shared kind messages on the post. Anthony Quinlan, who played Ross’ brother Pete in the show, said: ‘❤️❤️❤️ loads of love and congratulations ❤️❤️❤️’, Jay Kontzle (Billy Fletcher) wrote: ‘❤️ Congratulations mate’, while Ned Porteous, who plays Ross’ enemy Joe Tate in the soap, jokingly responded: ‘Adopt me’.
Michael reprised his role as Ross in Emmerdale towards the end of last year. His returning storyline saw him take part in underground boxing with Billy, who had been trying to earn extra money for his family.
Ross received some life-changing news from Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) earlier in the week, which confirmed he has a half-brother.

Ross will soon meet his new brother Lewis (Picture: ITV)In tonight’s episode, Ross will take the risk and contact Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches), who asks him to meet at a forest walk.
However, due to the fact Lewis doesn’t know the truth about their mum Emma and her crimes, Ross is forced to lie about her when Lewis begins his questioning.
The arrival of a new face also leaves Moira feeling paranoid, aware there is a chance Lewis will find out she killed his mum.
