But one, Remember Me?, proved to be a heartwrenching moment for Holly as she was reunited with Fredette – the midwife who helped her give birth to daughter, Belle.
As Fredette appeared on stage and asked the question “Remember Me?” Holly paused as she looked taken aback.
The TV host then took a big sigh before saying she “wanted to be sure” she’d got the right person.
She then choked back tears as she explained to host Michael McIntyre: “I’m thinking that we might have met each other 13 years ago, and the reason why I’m saying 13 years ago is because that was the day my daughter, Belle, was born. This amazing, incredible woman is called Fredette.”
As the audience clapped for her getting it right, Holly continued; “Fredette was so amazing because Belle was five weeks premature, so she was so tiny, and I was so scared and worried.
“I just remember… Fredette, I just remember you saying, ‘We’re gonna breathe this baby out. We are gonna breathe this baby out’.
“And I just listened to you, and it was your voice then, when you just said, ‘Do you remember me?’ It was your voice, and I’ll never forget your voice.”
Bursting into tears, Holly later added: “You made that moment, that was probably the most cut. It’s really hard to explain it… like it’s one of the most scariest things you’ll ever go through, because you just want everything to be okay.”
Holly then pointed her now teenager daughter out in the audience, thanking Fredette for ‘being the person that brought her into the world’.
Holly then quickly ran down on stage to hug the now retired midwife.
