A new mystery TV show has managed a rare two-week run at the very top of Netflix‘s streaming charts, proving its long-term success for the platform. Netflix’s mystery series have been a core of the streamers’ success in recent years, with some even topping their all-time charts not long after being released. This includes shows like 2024’s Fool Me Once, which currently sits at Number 9 for most-viewed English-language shows of all time on the platform. Others include long-running series, with the upcoming The Night Agent season 3 a product of season 1’s Number 8 placement on the all-time charts.

However, the platform is also home to some mystery shows that have a lighter tone, making them dark comedies atop their story focus. This includes recent releases like The Residence, about solving a murder in the White House, and Wednesday, which has elements of comedy alongside its mystery and supernatural thriller focus. It’s clear Netflix has plenty of mystery shows in various subgenres, making it a core part of the streaming service. However, one has managed to triumph above the rest in recent weeks thanks to an explosion in viewership.
