Ginny & Georgia received a dual-season renewal in 2023, and the writers’ room for season 4 started work on the upcoming installment earlier this year. During a recent interview with Collider’s Ladies Night, Howey revealed that production on the next season is expected to begin later this year. The star also explained that knowing the show would return for season 4 before season 3 had aired was a “privilege,” because it allowed her to “relax a little bit” and sink into the story.
“It’s such a privilege, and it’s not a situation I’ve ever been in before. It was so thrilling. You can almost relax a little bit in knowing we have more story to tell. You get to trust the process a little bit more because you know what certain payoffs are going to be.”
What This Means For Ginny & Georgia Season 4
We Might Not Have To Wait As Long For The New Season

If Netflix wants to keep Ginny & Georgia‘s momentum going, following an accelerated timeline could work in the show’s favor.
Collider reported that production on a single, 10-episode season of Ginny & Georgia takes around 5 months, with a 9-month post-production period. Though unlikely, this could hypothetically mean we’ll see more Ginny & Georgia at the end of next year or early 2027. That would make the wait roughly 18 months, give or take a month or two, rather than two and a half years. If Netflix wants to keep Ginny & Georgia‘s momentum going, following an accelerated timeline could work in the show’s favor.
Our Take On Ginny & Georgia Season 4
Will Georgia and Ginny Trade Places?

Ginny & Georgia season 3 proved that Georgia is objectively a terrible mother. Though she wants the best for her kids and is willing to do anything, truly anything, to protect them, she has never actually been able to protect them from herself. Austin’s (Diesel La Torraca) belief that he had to put his father in jail to save his mother – and being coerced by Ginny (Antonia Gentry) to do so – is just one of the many ways in which Georgia has fostered a toxic home environment for her children.
Despite Ginny’s vehement protests, there are hints that she’s becoming just like the “monster” she fears most. Season 4 seems primed to have Ginny and Georgia switch places, as Georgia might be willing to turn over a new leaf, and potentially even run for mayor against ex-husband Paul (Scott Porter) – the drama truly writes itself – while Ginny becomes a full-blown schemer. How will another baby and another baby daddy survive this strangely lovable mess of a family? How will Austin grapple with his guilt? Hopefully, we won’t have to wait long to find out in Ginny & Georgia season 4.
