Netflix recently released a thriller show, ‘Untamed’, which is winning a lot of hearts online. Read on to know if there will be another season to it.

Netflix recently dropped an amazing and engaging thriller series, Untamed, which is already generating a lot of buzz because of its strong story and powerful performances. The series is set against the backdrop of Yosemite National Park and it very beautifully combines nature visuals with a mystery. The series follows a National Park special agent who gets into this mystery to solve it. After watching, some fans are wondering if there will be a season 2 for it or not.
Will there be a season 2 of Untamed?
As of mid-July 2025, Netflix hasn’t announced anything related to a new season of the show, Untamed. Officially it is also labeled as a ‘limited series’, which means it won’t have any seasons. However, Netflix has broken this label before as well with hits like The Watcher and Monster, which were initially labeled as ‘limited’ but later did have more seasons. So, considering Netflix’s history, Untamed can have another season, but so far, nothing is confirmed.

What can be expected from season 2 of Untamed, if it happens?
The first season ends with a closure as ‘Kyle Turner’ completes the investigation by finding out who killed ‘Lucy Cook’ and he even starts his personal healing journey. Even though the case is completed, his personal turmoil still remains. So if another season happens, it can most probably be of ‘Kyle’ taking on a new case. There are chances that if the thriller show returns, it can return with a new and fresh case in a different setting and maybe not Yosemite.

Plot of the show, Untamed
The series, Untamed, follows a National Park Service agent ‘Kyle Turner’ (played by Eric Bana), who is called to Yosemite National Park to investigate and solve the mysterious death of a woman. Initially, the death felt like an accident but when ‘Kyle’ starts to investigate, he finds clues such as bloodstains, bullet holes, and torn gear, which point towards something more suspicious.

He is accompanied by ‘Naya Vasquez’ (played by Lily Santiago), who is a rookie ranger. She initially looks unsure but gradually becomes an important part of the investigation. The story builds slowly and gradually as they uncover secrets about the death. Each episode reveals a new layer to the story, which keeps the viewers hooked till the end. The natural setting adds both beauty and danger to the show.

One of the best things about this show is that at first glance it looks like the same mystery show with old crime formulas, but it is a lot more than that. While the series does follow the typical crime show elements, it never feels like a copy. The original elements of the show, like strong writing, powerful performances take over everything else. The show manages to hook the audience since the very first episode.

Where to watch the series, Untamed
