The season 2 finale of My Life With the Walter Boys delivered no shortage of drama — and left fans wanting more.

Based on the best-selling novel by Ali Novak, My Life With the Walter Boys premiered on Netflix in December 2023 and became an instant hit. The rom-com series follows Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), a Manhattan teenager whose world is upended by tragedy, forcing her to relocate to small-town Colorado to live with her late mother’s best friend Katherine (Sarah Rafferty) and the large Walter family.

There, Jackie finds herself torn between brothers Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry), sparking a complicated love triangle at the heart of the show.

Season 2 premiered on Aug. 28, picking up with Jackie returning to Silver Falls, determined to start fresh after the dramatic events of the season 1 finale. Throughout the season, she works to make amends with Alex following his awkward love confession and navigates setting boundaries with Cole after their steamy kiss.

Good news, Walter Boys fans! The Netflix show was renewed for a third season in May 2025.

What will My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 be about?

While an official season 3 synopsis for My Life With the Walter Boys has yet to be released, some of the cast and crew have teased what could be expected.

As showrunner Melanie Halsall previously told Tudum, there might be more of a focus on stories outside of the main love triangle.

“We’ve got a lot of things to do,” she said. “I love the teenage stories and what we do with those characters. But I think we have a lot of potential to tell stories that are intergenerational. I’d love to be able to do more of that in Season 3.”

Meanwhile, season 2 ended with a dramatic cliffhanger that saw Alex overhear Jackie confess her love to Cole, only to be interrupted by a mysterious family emergency involving George (Marc Blucas). During a conversation with PEOPLE ahead of the season 2 premiere, Gentry confirmed that the “aftermath of the cliffhanger will manifest” throughout season 3.

Which cast members are returning for My Life With the Walter Boys season 3?

The official cast for My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 has yet to be announced, however, according to Deadline, many of its main stars are returning.

Per the outlet, Rodriguez will reprise her role as the leading lady, Jackie Howard, alongside her two main love interests: LaLonde as Cole Walter and Gentry as Alex Walter. Meanwhile, Rafferty and Blucas will return to portray husband-and-wife duo Katherine and George.

They’ll be re-joined by Connor Stanhope as Danny Walter, Johnny Link as Will Walter, Corey Fogelmanis as Nathan Walter and Jaylan Evans as Skylar Summerhill.

As for new faces headed to Colorado, Deadline reported that Chad Rook is joining the cast in a recurring guest role. He is most known for appearing in 2017’s War for the Planet of the Apes and 2021’s Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City.

When did filming begin for My Life With the Walter Boys season 3?

Filming for My Life With the Walter Boys season 3 is already underway, as production began in early August 2025.

The starring trio shared the news in a video shared across Netflix’s social accounts, in which they hold up two fingers and slowly raise one more. The on-screen text reads, “When you are still waiting for season 2 but we just started production on season 3.”
