How Prince Andrew Was Rude to Kate Middleton and âFiercely Protectiveâ Prince William Was âInfuriatedâ
Prince Andrew was allegedly rude to Kate Middleton, leaving Prince William “infuriated.”
Sources say Andrew is jealous of Kate’s popularity and “prominence.”
There’s speculation that “When William comes to the throne, Andrew will be dust.”
Prince William is said to be the driving force behind getting Prince Andrew to give up his titles and leave the Royal Lodge. But apparently William’s distaste for his disgraced uncle goes beyond Prince Andrew’s friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. William was also offended by “disparaging remarks” Andrew made about Kate Middleton.
“The feud between Prince William and Prince Andrew started primarily due to Andrewâs jealousy and resulting disparaging remarks regarding Kate Middleton,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich tells Fox News. “Prince William was infuriated. Being fiercely protective, he instituted a zero-tolerance policy toward any wayward behavior or scandals involving Prince Andrew. All the more daunting for Andrew was his displacement as his motherâs âgolden boyâ since he was viewed as Queen Elizabeth IIâs favorite. His resentment grew with his plummeting popularity and was then further exacerbated by Kateâs prominence and poise.”

Meanwhile, author Andrew Lownie previously told Fox News, “My source said Andrew was rude to Kate. And I think he was probably rude because heâs a real snob. He may have felt that Kate wasnât aristocratic enough to marry William. While I can only speculate, no one has a harsh word to say about Kate Middleton. Sheâs been the savior of the royal family. Andrew gets jealous of people. He may even be jealous of Williamâs popularity. But I do know that when William comes to the throne, Andrew will be dust.”
And on top of THAT, royal expert Ian Pelham Turner notes, “The reality is that all senior members of the royal family hate being overshadowed by new, young upstarts, in their eyes. Andrew has always wanted more adulation for his two daughters. When Kate came along in the arms of William and was protected by the other royals, it was like a red flag to a bull. Andrew always thought he should be king rather than Charles. Thereâs always been a festering envy for many years. Itâs probably why William is now taking a very strong line against Andrew.”
