Fate of Nobody Wants This Revealed After Season 2 on Netflix

Less than a month after Nobody Wants This season two premiered on Netflix, the streaming platform shared whether the series starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody will return for a third installment.

Everybody wants to see more of Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.

Less than a month after the second season of Nobody Wants This arrived on Netflix, the streaming platform revealed that the show will be returning for a third installment.

In an Instagram Reel shared Nov. 4, Kristen (who plays Joanne) individually video called her costars Adam (Noah), Justine Lupe (Morgan), Jackie Thon (Esther) and Timothy Simons (Sasha) to deliver the good news that the rom-com “got picked up for season three.” After they all cheered, the Good Place actress placed a call to Nobody Wants This creator Erin Foster to share the same announcement—but the conversation hilariously didn’t go as expected.

“Yeah no, I knew that. I think I told you that,” Erin told Kristen during their video call. “You’re not, like, calling the cast and telling them, are you? Because I feel like I should maybe be doing that.”

In response, Kristen coyly replied, “No.”

Captioning the funny clip, Netflix wrote, “@kristenanniebell surprises the cast of NOBODY WANTS THIS with the news that the show will officially return for season 3!”

Of course, it’s no surprise that Kristen and Adam, both 45, are excited to reprise their roles as the sex-and-relationship podcast host and rabbi, respectively.

After all, the Veronica Mars alum previously shared that she advocated for The O.C. actor to be cast as her love interest in the series due to how well they worked together on past projects, including season two of House of Lies and the 2013 film Some Girls.

“I was like, ‘Guys, you’re going to need an ice pack while you watch these scenes,’” Kristen recalled telling the producers of her and Adam’s onscreen chemistry in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Oct. 22. “I just kept saying, like, ‘Trust me, Adam knows how to stare dopily at someone and so do I, and that’s kind of all you need.’”

And Adam has echoed that sentiment, adding that the duo are also friends outside of work. In fact, he recently joined Kristen on a trip to the Sloomoo Institute in New York City with her daughters, Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10, who she shares with husband Dax Shepard.

“We took your kids to the slime museum,” Adam told Kristen in a video published by Netflix Oct. 29. “That was nice. That thing’s still around and going really well.”
