Tyler Perry’s ‘Beauty in Black’ Renewed for Season 3 at Netflix, New To Episodes Release in Early 2026

Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black will also return in March 2026 with the final batch of episodes making up season 2 volume 2.

It’s official: Beauty in Black is returning for a third season. Netflix has confirmed that the hit Tyler Perry drama has been renewed for a third and final season. The announcement comes with the reveal of the release date for Season 2 Part 2, which is set to arrive in March 2026. 

Beauty in Black is a Netflix Original crime-drama series created by Tyler Perry, marking his sixth major project for the streamer. The series follows Kimmie, an exotic dancer who becomes entangled with a violent pimp and the dangerous, dysfunctional family behind a cosmetics dynasty.

Since its debut, the series has been a massive ratings juggernaut. Season 1 spent 7 weeks in the global top ten and has ranked in the top 10s in 81 countries. The success continued with Season 2 Part 1, which featured in the top 10s for three weeks, picking up 18.4M views globally.

Beauty in Black Renewed for Third and Final Season

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing reports that filming is slated for December 2025, and now Netflix has officially confirmed the news: Beauty in Black will return for a third season, which will also serve as the show’s conclusion. The final season is filming in Atlanta and Chicago.

In a press release, Netflix stated the renewal comes “ahead of its Season 2 Part 2 debut, bringing Kimmie’s journey with the Bellarie family to an epic conclusion.” Further details regarding the plot and release window for the final season are expected to be shared at a later time.

Season 2 Part 2 Premieres in March 2026

Fans waiting for the resolution to the latest cliffhangers finally have a date to mark on their calendars. Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black Season 2 Part 2 will premiere globally on Netflix on March 19, 2026.

The second half of the season will consist of 8 episodes. The official logline for the upcoming episodes teases a power shift:

“The ruthless, backstabbing family behind a beauty brand — and an underground trafficking ring — will face a reckoning. Kimmie, the once-unassuming sex worker in their employ, becomes an unstoppable force and is now the one calling the shots after inheriting sole ownership of the family business.”
