🎄🎹 A quietly magical Christmas moment inside the Wales family
Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte were spotted sharing a tender piano duet — a simple, intimate celebration that melted royal fans’ hearts. Soft smiles, matching focus, and one sweet detail had everyone saying the same thing: Charlotte is truly her mother’s mini-me 👑✨
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, and her daughter Princess Charlotte teamed up for a special duet.
On Christmas Eve, the official social media accounts for the Prince and Princess of Wales released a video that showed the royal mother-daughter duo performing a special rendition of Holm Sound by Erland Cooper on the piano.
The performance is part of the opening for the holiday celebration “Royal Carols: Together at Christmas,” airing on Dec. 24.
As the 10-year-old and her mother sit at the grand piano, the former Kate Middleton shares a message with viewers.
“At its heart, Christmas speaks of love taking form in the simplest, most human ways,” Kate says in the voiceover. “Not in sentimental or grand gestures, but gentle ones.”
“A moment of listening, a word of comfort, a friendly conversation, a helping hand, presence, these simple acts of care might seem small,” she continues. “But they contribute to the beautiful tapestry of life to which we all belong.”
As scenes of people coming together and celebrating the holiday appear on the screen, Kate shares how Christmas is a time that reminds people how “deeply our lives are woven together.”
The sweet video concludes with Kate wishing people a “very happy Christmas,” as their duet also comes to an end.
Earlier this year, in an episode of Apple TV’s “The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy,” Prince William shared that his daughter, as well as sons Prince George and Prince Louis, were learning how to play musical instruments.
“(We’re) keeping them busy with sports and just being outdoors is really important. They’re trying to learn musical instruments. I’m not sure how successful we’re being with that,” he told host Eugene Levy.
He also added that Charlotte’s favorite activities included netball and ballet.
Kate, meanwhile, has been back to her royal duties and outings after revealing her cancer diagnosis in March 2024. She is now in remission.
In July of this year, per video footage from the BBC, she touched on adjusting to normal life after treatment, saying, “You put on a sort of brave face (with) stoicism through treatment. (When) treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal again.’”
Prince William also touched on how their kids coped with his wife’s diagnosis, telling Levy in that same episode, “We try to make sure you give them the security and the safety that they need.”
“And we’re a very open family, so we talk about things that bother us and things that trouble us,” he said. “But you never quite know the knock-on effects it can have. So it’s just important to be there for each other and to, kind of, reassure the children that everything’s OK
