Before NFL fans get to watch Bad Bunny’s halftime show at Super Bowl LX, they’ll get to hear Carrie Underwood’s voice one last time this season.
Underwood has performed “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” on NBC for the past 13 NFL seasons. The intro for the 2025 season was adjusted a tad to showcase the eight-time Grammy Award winner’s talent.
“For the 20th season of SNF, we wanted to set the tone for the night by reimagining the anthem sound in a way that plays to Carrie’s powerhouse vocals, while visually creating a seamless blend of stylized shots and behind-the-scenes moments evoking the national roadshow that is Sunday Night Football, week after week in the fall,” said Tripp Dixon, the creative director for the SNF opener.

“Love you Carrie and your music,” a second fan replied. “I wish you were the halftime show I would watch it I love your Sunday night opening songs also.”
“THAT’S how you make a super bowl entrance,” another fan commented.

Does NBC pay Carrie Underwood?
There have been rumors in the past about Underwood receiving millions of dollars to perform NBC’s intro for “Sunday Night Football.”
Well, it turns out that’s not true.
“No, it’s pretty pro-bono,” Underwood told Howard Stern. “I wish [it was a high-paying job], that’d be great. That would be awesome.”
Fans will get to see Underwood on NBC this Sunday at around 6:30 p.m. ET.
