A still image shows a woman later identified as Germiran Bryson at the JetBlue ticketing counter inside Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. Police allege she abandoned her dog, seen on the left, after being told she needed to register him online. (LVMPD)A woman allegedly told an airline agent to call animal control as she left her dog at the counter because she wouldn’t miss her flight, according to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report.

Germirah Bryson was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport for allegedly abandoning the dog at the JetBlue desk counter on Feb. 3.

The arrest report states that a JetBlue agent called for police after a passenger tied the dog’s leash to the ticket counter and walked to the security checkpoint.

The agent told officers that Bryson arrived late for her flight. She was told she hadn’t registered her dog as a passenger and would need to go online to complete the request.

Bryson allegedly replied, “Call animal control. I’m not going to miss my flight.” She refused to complete the request and left the dog tied to a luggage measurement device.

Officers found Bryson at her gate and escorted her back to the terminal. As they were walking through a security checkpoint, she allegedly became disruptive and tried walking away from officers.

Police allege she later dropped her body weight after she was handcuffed so the officers would have to carry her to the airport’s substation.
