On, Tuesday, March 10, the investigation into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie continued, and it reached a new, but dark, milestone.
The search for Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, officially entered its sixth week, according to Fox News. Nancy was taken from her Tucson, Arizona, residence on Feb. 1, and authorities believe she was taken, of course, against her will.
The investigation into Nancy’s disappearance is ongoing, and no suspects have been named.
Nancy Guthrie Update Today: Search Officially Enters Week 6
So, the search for Nancy Guthrie is still happening, but the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and FBI haven’t released the names of any suspects.
“Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts remain unknown,” Fox News reporter Michael Ruiz stated in an update on social media. “The reward remains unclaimed. The suspect remains unidentified. 1-800-CALL-FBI.”
While there haven’t been any breaks in the case, on Tuesday, Ruiz shared some information about the Pima County Sheriff’s Department clearing up a clerical error. In it, he says that the PCSD has responded to a report digging into claims on Sheriff Nanos’ public resume.
“The Pima County Sheriff’s Department recently identified two clerical errors in Sheriff Chris Nanos’ publicly posted resume,” they stated, according to Ruiz. “Both date discrepancies were administrative in nature and were not intended to mislead or misrepresent Sheriff Nanos’ work history.”
They added, “For clarity, Sheriff Nanos served with the El Paso Police Department from 1976 to 1982. His service with El Paso PD concluded in 1982, not 1984 as previously stated. Additionally, Sheriff Nanos was promoted to the rank of captain in 2007, not 2009. These administrative errors have been corrected.”
The department also shared a link to the updated resume and said that “Sheriff Nanos has dedicated more than four decades to law enforcement and public service.”
“Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to professionalism, accountability, and the safety of the communities he serves,” the statement added. “As Sheriff of Pima County, he continues to lead the department with experience, integrity, and a clear focus on protecting the residents of Pima County.”
Savannah Guthrie Spotted Back in New York City
In other news, Savannah Guthrie has returned to New York City as the search for her mother continues.
On Monday, March 9, Fox News reported, “Guthrie was photographed in public for the first time since her mother’s suspected abduction, alongside husband Mike Feldman and their young son in the Big Apple Sunday, days after an emotional reunion with her NBC colleagues and more than a month after her 84-year-old mother Nancy was last seen.”
