Virgin River Fans United Over Brady Cliff-HangerNetflix

Virgin River fans are united in their feelings about the character of Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth), following that dramatic cliff-hanger, and let’s just say they are not happy with the show’s writers.

After five years of will-they, won’t-they season 7 of Netflix’s heartwarming drama Virgin River, finally saw Brady and Brie (Zibby Allen) get together (yes we’re still thinking about that motorcycle scene).

However, after finally getting that happy ending, the series ended on a major cliff-hanger with Brady getting into a motorcycle accident and his fate being unclear. During episode 10 ‘David and Goliath’ around 42 minutes into the episode a montage of scenes take place and during one particularly dramatic one, Brady is riding along happily, until he sees a lorry and breaks too late to swerve it.

He ends up falling off his bike, and crashing into the semi truck, with the audience none the wiser as to whether he survives. And fans are not happy about it, with many questioning how much the writers like the character as he seems to have some of the worst luck in the series.

One fan wrote on X of the episode: “the Virgin River writers actually hate happiness because wdym Mel and Jack are finally parents but the baby has a serious heart defect and brie Brady finally got back together only for Brady to get in a motorcycle accident don’t piss me off everything better be okay in season 8.”

While another said: “So…I just finished season 7 of Virgin River and I’m convinced the writers hate Brady.”

And another alsoshared: “Virgin River writers just had to do something to not make things perfect, not only did Brady have an accident but Mel and jack’s baby has a heart defect.”

Given all Brady has been through on the show, we’re really hoping this is not the last we’ve seen of him in Virgin River, and Brie and Brady get their happy ending.

While the series’ showrunner Patrick Sean Smith hasn’t confirmed whether or not Brady will be returning for the next season, what he did say to Netflix’s Tudum is that we’ll get to see how Brie copes with the aftermath of it next season.

“That storyline will also play out in season 8 — whether Brady survived the accident or not,” he said.

Okay, can we just have season 8 now please Netflix?

Virgin River seasons one to seven are available on Netflix now.
