Jay-Z reveals 2-night-only concerts 30 years after his debut album
Jay-Z is confirming what fans have speculated for months: He’s making a major return to the stage to celebrate a pair of big anniversaries.
His company, Roc Nation, on March 18 announced the music titan will perform two hometown shows at Yankee Stadium over the summer.
On July 10, he will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his debut album “Reasonable Doubt.” This will be followed by a 25th anniversary concert for “The Blueprint” on July 11. Instead of providing information about tickets and what the concerts entail, the social media post teased: “Stay Tuned.”
Released by his label Roc-A-Fella Records in June 1996 and featuring collaborations with the likes of Mary J. Blige, The Notorious B.I.G. and Jaz-O, “Reasonable Doubt” has been heralded by some critics as one of the greatest albums of all time.
“The Blueprint,” which debuted Sept. 11, 2001, and spent three weeks on the Billboard 200, is similarly regarded as one of the best works in the rap genre. In 2018, the record (Jay-Z’s sixth LP) was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.
Since releasing “Reasonable Doubt” into the world, Jay-Z has racked up 25 Grammy wins as well as several historic firsts for a rapper, including his induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame (in 2017) and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2021).
The “I Know” rapper, who recently changed the styling of his name to Jaÿ-Z to mirror his 1996 debut album “Reasonable Doubt,” is set to take the stage with The Roots at the two-day Roots Picnic festival in Philadelphia on May 30 and May 31.

The picnic will mark the rapper’s first performance with The Roots in over a decade. In 2001, the group famously served as Jay-Z’s backing band for his “MTV Unplugged” special and for his “Reasonable Doubt” 10th-anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall in 2006.
Jaÿ-Z last took the stage for surprise performances on Beyoncé’s record-breaking Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour, which wrapped July 2025 in Las Vegas.
