Actor Tom Cruise‘s career has been marked by several exceptional stunts, which he insists on performing himself. Films such as Top Gun: Maverick and the Mission: Impossible series are a testament to the same. However, it seems Cruise finally witnessed a stunt he might have trouble pulling off.
Cruise was in attendance at the Bercy Arena in Paris, France, on July 28, 2024, where the USA women’s gymnastics team was competing. Cruise was brought to his feet when gymnast Simone Biles delivered a breathtaking performance during the women’s artistic gymnastics qualification. You can check out Cruise’s reaction here:
As you can see in the above clip, Cruise was impressed with Biles’ performance and applauded the gymnast for her exceptional display of skill. Cruise was among several celebrities, including Nick Jonas, John Legend, and Ariana Grande, who had turned up to support the USA contingent in their Olympics campaign.

Cruise witnessed Simone Biles during the initial rounds of the competition, and was impressed with the gymnast’s performance. As a result, the Mission: Impossible actor has nothing but utmost praise for Biles and her teammates who are representing the USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
It’s awesome. Great stories, great athletes. It’s incredible what they have to do, the sense of accomplishment.
Cruise reportedly made the above statement to Reuters, while in attendance at the Bercy Arena on July 28, which saw Biles and her team progress to the final round of the artistic gymnastics competition.
The finals were held on July 30, 2024, where Biles helped her team to the Gold medal in artistic gymnastics. The USA women’s team reclaimed the top spot at the Olympics, having previously done so in 2012 and 2016.
However, the team had to settle for a Silver medal at the 2020 edition. Biles tasted success in the team competition in her third appearance at the Olympics. Biles, the current women’s world champion will also compete in the individual category, with a chance at earning further glory for her nation.
