Earlier this week, a fisherman caught a strange creature with pink-white skin on the coast of Cabo, Mexico.

The “extraterrestrial” fish was posted on social networks on March 29 and captured by Jaime Rendon, captain of the fishing boat Pescado. After being captured for a short time, the sea monster was released back into the wild.
Jaime said he thought this was a sea monster because it had rough skin, 3 rows of sharp teeth and 3 gill slits on both sides. However, scientists confirmed that this is an albino shark.
This albino shark is strange in that it only has 3 gill slits while normal fish will have 5 to 7 gill slits on each side. The fish’s eyes are dark and have a very strange shape. “I was very surprised when I caught the fish, especially its eyes,” Jaime said.
The captain of the fishing boat Pescado thought that this creature was in danger so he decided to release it back into the sea. The characteristic swollen belly of albino sharks is the most recognizable feature of swollen sharks. This species can absorb water or air in an instant, causing its body to “swell” quickly and making it impossible for enemies to swallow.
Swollen sharks often have yellow-brown eyes and irregular patches of dark skin on their bodies. Young fish have a lighter color. The pink and white color on the strange fish’s body is believed to be caused by albinism.
