Matt Smith reveals the transformative power of wearing Daemon’s wig – A very different aura!

The actor Matt Smith spoke about how he vanished into the role of Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon in a recent interview with Hollywood Reporter.

Both fans and reviewers appreciated Smith’s portrayal in the Game of Thrones prequel, citing him as one of the most compelling characters in the new show. He obviously gave the character a lot of thought and work, and it paid off in the end.

When questioned about his aura after donning the wig and his thoughts on method acting, the House of the Dragon actor responded as follows:

“Well, there were amazing times when I would just be completely absorbed in each other’s energy for the day, like with [Rhaenyra Targaryen actress] Emma D’Arcy and with Paddy. While the camera was rolling, the attention was on it, but we could still joke around or do anything we wanted.

Yes, it felt extremely authentic. I wouldn’t describe it as “method” since it would be very difficult to implement over a ten-month period. But if the other player is willing, that process does spill over.

Finally, the actor was questioned on his recuperation after an injury he sustained on the House of the Dragon set. In response, he said:

“After this, I’m genuinely waiting to go into the physiotherapist and work on it. But, in a way, everything is a part of the process.
