Watch Reba McEntire Kick Off ‘The Voice’ With Powerful Heartache Anthem
Reba McEntire kicked off The Voice with a powerful performance of her 2009 single, “Consider Me Gone,” on Tuesday evening (December 3).
McEntire released “Consider Me Gone” on her 13-track studio record, Keep On Loving You, and again as an acoustic version on Revived Remixed Revisited in 2021 and on Not That Fancy last year. McEntire performed the heartache anthem on The Voice live show, in addition to a performance by fellow coach Gwen Stefani (with a single from her latest album, Bouquet, “Somebody Else’s”), and performances by fan-favorite contestants on the show.
“If I’m not the one thing you can’t stand to lose/ If I’m not that arrow to the heart of you/ If you don’t get drunk on my kiss/ If you think you can do better than this/ Then I guess we’re done/ Let’s not drag this on/ Consider me gone”
