The Mission Impossible star gifts it to his nearest and dearest every holiday season
There are many traditions when it comes to the festive season, whether that be exchanging gifts or getting the family round for a Christmas dinner.
Hollywood legend Tom Cruise abides by one very specific tradition every holiday season, providing a gift to those he has worked with.
It remains unclear if the actor has been offering the gift to his nearest and dearest — though fellow professionals in the industry have spoken for many years about receiving the item.
So, what is it?

Well, the Mission Impossible actor actually sends coconut cake to people he’s worked with in the past – a cake that has recently resurfaced on social media.
“Happy holiday season folks – it’s officially Tom Cruise Cake Day in the Empire office!” Empire magazine penned on Twitter.
“Just a reminder that ‘normies’/ non-friends can also get ahold of the Tom Cruise Cake. It’s from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, CA. You can order the White Chocolate Coconut Bundt on Goldbelly for delivery,” film critic Courtney Howard added.
While the average Joe may be able to purchase this cake, there have been many A-listers over the years that have received the cake as a gift from Cruise.
Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell has a party at his house when the cake arrives every year, allowing his pals to join in with the fun.
Powell previously said on the Jennifer Hudson Show: “It is the most delicious cake you’ve ever had. My friends who have tried it, they love it so much that they hit me up right around December 1. ‘Hey, has it arrived yet?’ So now I have a party at my house where I’ll have the Cruise cake.

“It’s my ‘Cruise Cake Party’. And I’ll invite people over to try a bite or two … [they] can’t get greedy. I really have to limit people. I can’t let them come back for seconds.”
Actor Jay Ellis decided to fly the viral cake to Mexico – indicating it must be pretty darn good indeed.
“This year, my family, we all met in Mexico to spend Christmas together,” the Top Gun star told Jennifer Hudson.
“And I was away filming a movie, and I was like, ‘Mom, can you freeze the cake and take it to Mexico?’ My whole family was like, ‘Yes, freeze the cake’.
“Whatever it is — dry ice, ice cubes, whatever it is — we froze the cake. We took it to Mexico, thawed it out and we had it on Christmas Day.”
