Kelsea Ballerini‘s fans have been concerned about the country singer because she’s been performing on tour while battling the flu. “The Voice” coach provided a health update on February 6 and, while she’s not 100% just yet, she is on the mend.

Kelsea Ballerini Updates Fans on Her Health: ‘We’re Gonna Lean In’

During her February 4 concert at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, Ballerini admitted that she wasn’t feeling great. She honored the tradition of “the show must go on,” but gave the audience a heads-up about what she was dealing with.

In a fan-recorded video from the show, Ballerini said she’s “a perfectionist” who has “this crippling fear of letting people down.”

She explained, “So I’m going to give you absolutely every ounce of everything I have left in the tank tonight.”

On February 6, Ballerini gave a health update. “For those sweet angel humans asking, I’m feeling better,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

“The Voice” coach continued, “Got some good rest (WOW I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE SLEEP) and the meds are doing their job and I can’t wait to perform for you tonight.”

She added, “My voice is still a little raspy, but we’re gonna lean in (like the phoebe sexy voice) and I will see you on that stage. No way I’m letting you down.”

Ballerini performs in Buffalo, New York on February 6.

Fans Were Worried About Kelsea Ballerini

Following the February 4 show, Ballerini took to her Instagram Stories to thank fans. “THANK YOU for helping me through our show last [night] and being so loud and kind. Feeling a bit better today and grateful for the grace to be human I’m feeling from y’all,” she wrote. “Sending you the biggest (air) hug and going back to bed now.”

Fans have been understandably concerned about the singer performing while she was sick.

In one TikTok video from Ballerini’s show, the user wrote, “This woman has the flu and still put on an amazing show! We don’t deserve you @Kelsea Ballerini. I just wanted to hug her so bad, you can tell she gave it everything.”

Other fans weighed in with comments, and many were surprised that she could still perform. “How the heck is she up there?” one person wondered. “My husband just had the flu and was down sooo bad.”

Another fan noted, “I am such a baby when I have the flu, she is a trooper for that!”
