The Sweet Escape singer allegedly is hoping to leave in order to spend more time with her husband, Blake Shelton, and her kids, Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10
Gwen Stefani may be taking a bow on NBC’s The Voice. The Hollaback Girl singer, 55, reportedly wants to depart from the singing competition series after 10 years of being a coach.
She allegedly is hoping to “quit” in order to spend more time with her husband, Blake Shelton, and her kids, Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 10, according to the Sun.
An insider told the publication that it “may be time” for the crooner to “graduate” from the show as she has been “crying a lot this season.”
“She has said several times while filming that she’s even more of an ‘emotional wreck’ this season than she ever has been,” the source said.

“It was nonstop emotions, crying throughout this entire journey but you can tell it’s mostly rooted in joy and deep pride for the work she’s done.”
“She never outright said she was done with the show but it seems like she’s quitting, yeah. She’s done I think,” the insider added. “Gwen wants to spend more time with her family now that Blake is also off the show.
They continued: “She really found a second home in Oklahoma and seeing Blake walk away from the show and prioritize his own music and their family life, I think made her realize what her next chapter can look like.”
Stefani joined The Voice in 2014 and she met Shelton – who she married in 2021 – on the show. The country singer, 48, was a coach on the series from 2011 until 2023.
Season 26 of The Voice aired its finale on Tuesday, December 10, with coach Michael Bublé’s contestant Sofronio Vasquez emerging as the winner. However, fans weren’t too happy with the outcome.
They took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their complaints, with some saying that there is “No way he was the best” this season. “1st of all, too many fake people that think that he won. He wasn’t the best voice or singer,” another person fumed. “The last 2 shows his voice cracked, and he couldn’t hit a high note to save his life!”
Stefani also caused a ruckus among viewers during the finale episode when she flubbed the lyrics while performing and stormed off stage. The pop star seemed nervous during her set and had to leave the podium in order to regain her composure. Stefani’s finalist, 16-year-old Sydney Sterlace, also performed at the time.
