Hannah Waddingham thinks Tom Cruise is “gorgeous and inspirational”.
The 49-year-old actress will star alongside Tom, 61, in the new ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie, and Hannah has heaped praise on her co-star, admitting that she’s been inspired by his work ethic.
Speaking about her preparations for the movie and working with Tom, Hannah told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “We were in an Osprey [helicopter], we landed on a moving vessel with four and a half thousand Naval men and women on it and spent five days [aboard].
“I can’t tell you how inspired I came away by Tom and [director] Chris McQuarrie.”
Despite this, Hannah has been sworn to secrecy about the new movie.
The actress – who is best-known for playing Rebecca Welton in the comedy-drama series ‘Ted Lasso’ – admitted: “I can’t tell you too much – I’ll get told off.”
Another of Tom’s co-stars, Hayley Atwell, previously admitted to feeling inspired by the Hollywood veteran.
The 42-year-old actress – who is reprising the role of Grace for the new ‘Mission: Impossible’ movie – confessed to being wowed by his work ethic, describing her co-star as “deeply inspiring”.
Hayley told ‘ET Canada’: “He’s a one-man studio.
“There is nothing this man doesn’t know about movie-making and the cinematic experience for the audience.
“It’s deeply inspiring to find someone who is so committed to something, whose work ethic extends to so many different departments.”
Hayley also observed that Tom hasn’t been negatively affected by his own fame and success.
The actress insisted that Tom – who plays Ethan Hunt in the money-spinning film franchise – remains a “professional, dedicated, enthusiastic guy”.
Hayley said: “For me, he remains a real inspiration as a professional, dedicated, enthusiastic guy, whose own success has never been his demise.”
