Beau

16-year-old surfer Beau is confirmed to appear on The Voice with a performance that “heats up Aussie vs American rivalry.” After a remarkable blind audition, Beau causes a squabble among the judges, with Kate Miller-Heidke highlighting the uniquely Australian quality in Beau’s performance, suggesting that going for an American coach “would be a mistake”.

Adam Lambert ends up putting the decision completely up to Beau: asking: “You have to referee this.”

Reuben De Melo

Reuben De Melo is a Perth-based mine worker and father and is set to be the first artist to captivate the coaches on this season of The Voice. In his blind audition, we get to see a beautiful rendition of Ed Sheeran’s I See Fire.

Reuben is said to thoroughly impress the judges, turning all four chairs and even bringing superstar LeAnn Rimes to tears. “You just sang that better than Ed Sheeran,” Kate Miller-Heidke says of his performance.

“That’s one of my favourite auditions I’ve ever heard on the show,” Guy adds.
