Reba McEntire’s new sitcom, Happy’s Place, has been an unexpected win for NBC. They have already had success with Reba as a coach on The Voice which has been a treat since Blake Shelton left. Yet, it was unclear how her show would do. Now, the numbers are in and fans have put it through the roof. Keep reading to see how many viewers it has amassed.
Reba McEntire’s Happy’s Place Unexpected Win For NBC
When Reba McEntire first announced her new sitcom in the works, she wanted everyone to pray. She hoped it would get picked up but was unsure what the future held. It would reunite her with Melissa Peterman from Reba and they are fan favorites when they team up together. Luckily, NBC gave Happy’s Place the greenlight and it was good to go. Fans know Reba as an iconic country singer or a “single mom who works two jobs.” Most recently, she took over Blake Shelton’s coaching chair on The Voice.

Now, she was going to play the role of Bobbie, a woman whose father passed away, leaving her his bar. Rex Linn plays Emmett the cook and Melissa Peterman plays Gabby, a bartender. However, Bobbie was in for a real surprise when she learned that she had to share the bar with her half-sister, Isabella (Belissa Escobedo). Isabella and Bobbie never knew about each other and with a huge age gap as well as Bobbie’s possessive nature, this would be a challenge. There have only been two episodes but fans have flocked to the show.
According to Deadline, the pilot garnered 10 million cross-platform viewers. Now, in its live debut, it had just 4 million so that is an additional six million who streamed Happy’s Place, a 150% increase. Apparently, the Friday night slot of 8-830 pm EST is typically a doozy and not one that does fairly well. Yet, Reba and her gang helped it grow by 90%. More so, it is the best new comedy from NBC that is streaming on Peacock so that is another win for the show.
Fans Love It
Reba McEntire can do no wrong as proven by what fans are saying about her and Happy’s Place on social media. They absolutely adore the new sitcom and wish it were longer:
I am telling you guys, if you haven’t seen #HappysPlace yet. Y’all are missing out !!!
Loving Reba’s new show. Bobbie arguing with herself was hilarious. Isabelle is a bit annoying but I imagine she’s supposed to be that way. lol.
It was a great episode!!! I’m loving #HappysPlace and each week I look forward to the next episode!
Clearly, NBC has a hit on its hands so it is a good thing they ordered a full season. Are you having a great time with the new sitcom or have you yet to watch it? Let us know and watch Happy’s Place Fridays on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
