Incredible Twist! Memphis’ Own Jeremy Beloate Takes the Stage by Storm, Making It to The Voice Finals!

Memphis native Jeremy Beloate’s run on “The Voice” will continue.

During Tuesday’s results show on the NBC singing competition, Beloate was revealed as one of the contestants voted through to the finals by the public.

Beloate — a member of Snoop Dogg’s team — will be among five contestants who will face off to determine a winner for the 26th season of “The Voice.” The other finalists are Sofronio Vasquez, Sydney Sterlace, Shye and Danny Joseph, who received the “Instant Save” on Tuesday.

Memphis native Jeremy Beloate is competing on Season 26 of NBC’s “The Voice.”

The final two episodes of “The Voice” will air onNBCon Dec. 9 and 10 (the shows will also stream the next day on Peacock).

After being named a finalist, Beloate received a big hug from Snoop Dogg, who has been visibly moved by his performances.

 

On Monday, Beloate performed a rendition of the Tom Jones classic “I (Who Have Nothing),” which earned a standing ovation from all four judges.

Gwen Stefani praised him as a “rare” vocalist. “There’s nothing, nobody like you. It’s almost like you’re too good to sing songs,” she said.

He also was paired up Monday with Team Bublé contestant Sofronio Vasquez for a performance of The Police’s “Every Breath You Take.” They were joined by the song’s original writer and singer Sting, who played bass during the performance and served as the show’s Mega Mentor.

Raised in Bartlett, Beloate was a student at Ellendale Elementary and Appling Middle School.

He later moved to Germantown and attended Briarcrest, where he was part of the school’s One Voice singing group, which competed on season 11 of the TV series “America’s Got Talent.”

Since then, Beloate has performed locally in productions at Theatre Memphis and Playhouse on the Square, as well as appeared at the Mid-South Fair.

After attending college, Beloate moved to New York City where he has been working and recently landed a lead role in a new musical from “American Idol” alum and YouTube star Todrick Hall.
