LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have been happily married for 13 years, but their relationship was born out of scandal, with both of them cheating on their respective spouses

The Voice UK’s new mentor LeAnn Rimes and actor Eddie Cibrian have been blissfully wed for 13 years after an affair that led to the break up of both of their earlier marriages.

Both were married to others when they met – LeAnn to dancer Dean Sheremet and Eddie to television personality Brandi Glanville.

Their paths crossed on the set of the Lifetime movie Northern Lights in 2009, leading to an affair. In her book Drinking and Tweeting and other Brandi Blunders, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville disclosed how she uncovered her husband’s betrayal.

She recounted a dinner where LeAnn and Eddie were inseparable, even with their spouses present. Brandi wrote: “This woman, whom I had just met, spent more time flirting with my husband than acknowledging her own.”

The night progressed to karaoke, where, according to Brandi, LeAnn coaxed Eddie to perform with her, sidelining her own husband, as reported by the Mirror, reports OK!.

Brandi continued: “I looked at Eddie’s smiling face on that stupid, low-rent stage and leaned over to Dean and said, ‘You know they’re f**king, right?'”

Pictures of LeAnn and Eddie sharing a kiss during a dinner date in March 2009 made the news and both married couples ended up splitting.

In December 2010, Eddie proposed to LeAnn, and by April the following year, they were married. The controversy continued with LeAnn and Brandi embroiled in a lengthy dispute fuelled by the affair.

In April 2018, it seemed the celebrity feud was laid to rest when Brandi took to Twitter to announce: “The three of us sat and talked for hours hashed everything out and the feud with @leannrimes Eddie and I is over.”

But earlier this year when Brandi openly accused LeAnn and husband Eddie of barring her from seeing her children.

Brandi aired her frustrations on social media in March, expressing: “It’s very crazy that I’ve been alone for this entire week and I can’t be with my children because it happens not to be my week in our divorce settlement.”

She continued to contend: “I think that this is a time with special circumstances and I should be able to be with them. …” Brandi then challenged the pair’s authenticity in a public call-out: “This is when people’s true colors show @eddiecibrian @leannrimes how truthful are your words? ? ! ! “.

On the flip side, LeAnn Rimes appeared unaffected by the previous squabbles, making light of the situation to ABC News: “It happens every day to so many people.”

Reflecting on the matter, she added: “And if I take away my album sales, my words … you have just another couple. You had two couples whose marriages didn’t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love.”

LeAnn makes her debut as a judge on The Voice UK alongside fellow judges, Sir Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Danny Jones and Tom Fletcher.
