We’ll be seeing a lot more of Burnaby-born singer Michael Bublé as he joins The Voice

The Burnaby singer took to Instagram to confirm news of the appointment that sees him sign on alongside rapper Snoop Dogg as the new judges on the popular TV singing competition. The duo will take the spinning seats alongside returning judges Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani.
The Voice fans who have tuned in to Season 25, which premiered in February have seen McEntire, Chance the Rapper, John Legend and country duo Dan + Shay in the latest coaching roles. The upcoming season will be the first time Bublé has joined The Voice cast. The premiere date for Season 26 of The Voice has yet to be announced.
A decorated singer and performer — the Order of B.C. recipient has won five Grammy Awards and 15 Juno Awards to date and sold more than 75 million records worldwide — Bublé seems to be a perfect pick for the vocal competition show. The Voice sees singers audition and compete under the guidance of a celebrity coach/judge for the $100,000 prize and a record deal.
Bublé recently caused a buzz in Metro Vancouver when he appeared at a local event for his whiskey, Fraser & Thompson. The Feeling Good singer has also been spotted front-row at Rogers Arena to watch the Stanley Cup playoff action of the Vancouver Canucks.
On the music side, Bublé recently released a four-plus minute music video for the single Spicy Margarita. Set in a swanky nightclub, Bublé and Jason Derulo incorporated some drama into the video as the American singer-songwriter shows up the rather sedentary-by-comparison, suited singer with his high-energy dance moves. And Bublé (at least in character) doesn’t seem to like it.
The clip ends with a teaser for the drama between Bublé and Derulo to continue in a part-two video called Mad Love.
