Season 26 of The Voice is coming to an end tonight (December 10). By tomorrow morning fans across the nation will know who was crowned champion. Unfortunately, that means fans will have to wait for season 27 of The Voice to kick off. There’s a silver lining, though. They won’t have to wait long. The next season of the fan-favorite singing competition is slated to premiere in February.
According to NBC
The Voice season 27 will premiere on Monday, February 3, 2025. As usual, it will air at 8/7c on NBC. Additionally, it will stream the next day on Peacock. Those who don’t have cable but don’t want to wait to catch the premiere can see it live on various streaming platforms that offer live TV. Fubo, DirecTV Stream, YouTube TV, and others will host live broadcasts of
The Voice.
Fans will see a new lineup of coaches in season 27. Michael Bublé will be the only season 26 coach to appear in the next season. Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg will exit the show after tonight’s finale episode. A pair of fan favorites will return to claim two of the vacant red chairs—John Legend and Adam Levine will return as coaches. Additionally, Kelsea Ballerini will make her coaching debut. However, she’s no stranger to
The Voice. Ballerini stood in for Kelly Clarkson during season 20.
Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire Exit The Voice Ahead of Season 27
Fans were excited to see Snoop Dogg and Reba McEntire on The Voice but they’ll leave the show ahead of season 27. However, as longtime fans of the show know, that doesn’t mean they’ll be gone forever. Gwen Stefani, John Legend, Adam Levine, and others have left and returned in the past.
Neither Snoop nor McEntire have announced their reason for leaving the show. However, some solid theories exist. For instance, McEntire’s new sitcom Happy’s Place premiered on NBC earlier this year. The show has been a hit with fans and the network recently ordered five more episodes, extending the show’s first season to 18 episodes. At this, point it is likely that NBC will renew the series for a second season. As a result, the country superstar will likely have her hands full working on her show.
Snoop Dogg mentioned earlier this year that he only planned to do one season of
The Voice. “I had a great time on
The Voice, I ain’t gonna front,” the rap icon said earlier this year. “When I did the contract, I was like ‘I’m about do to this sh-t for one year and get up out of here.’ But then, once I got to the set, I fell in love with Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani,” he revealed. “Unbelievably, me and Michael Bublé are, like, lost brothers, man!” he added.
Fans will have to wait and see if Snoop, McEntire, or Stefani return in later seasons.
