Reba McEntire and her boyfriend, Rex Linn, have had their fair share of time on set together while acting in various TV shows and movies over the years and they’re gearing up to appear in yet another series this fall. Last weekend, the couple was captured celebrating the upcoming premiere of McEntire’s new sitcom, Happy’s Place, while on a summer press tour in Pasadena, CA, for NBCUniversal with their fellow co-stars Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco and Tokala Black Elk.

The pair were all dressed up as they posed closely at the event in a series of images shared to McEntire’s Facebook page. The other photos found McEntire and Linn smiling big and sharing a few laughs with the entire Happy’s Place family.

“Already having #toomuchfun with my #HappysPlace family! Who else can’t wait for this fall?” she wrote.

NBC recently announced that the series premiere will air on Friday, October 18 at 8/7c. That day, viewers can tune in to see the drama start to unfold as McEntire’s character Bobbie discovers some very unexpected news following her dad’s passing.

On top of inheriting her father’s tavern named, Happy’s Place, the “Seven Minutes In Heaven” singer gets the biggest shock of all when she learns that he secretly had a second family. Things unravel even more when she meets her half-sister (played by Belissa Escobedo), who ends up playing a major role in her life as they figure out how to navigate all their family drama.

In addition to Linn, who plays the tavern’s short-order cook named Emmett, fans will also recognize the character Gabby played by Melissa Peterman. McEntire and Peterman have co-starred in several shows together over the years, including the 2000’s sitcom RebaWorking ClassBaby Daddy and Young Sheldon. The pair of actresses have become great friends both on and off the set and are often seen supporting each other in their own endeavors.

Shortly before Happy’s Place premieres, Reba McEntire will return to her coaching duties on The Voice, which also airs on NBC. In fact, both shows are filmed on the same lot, making it easy for her to go between sets.

Season 26 of The Voice is set to premiere Monday, September 23, 8/7c on NBC. For McEntire’s third season with the singing competition show, she will be coaching alongside Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, and Michael Bublé. Seeing that the two shows are so close together, it’s easy to question how the Oklahoma native is balancing her time.

“Some days [the shoots] are overlapping,” she revealed to TV Insider. “But it’s so much better than two years ago when I was doing Big Sky in Albuquerque for ABC, and then flying to the East Coast for concerts on the weekend. This is a piece of cake.”

She also teased that the close proximity might warrant a bit of cross-over between her co-stars and fellow coaches. Peterman and Escobedo have reportedly expressed interest in getting an invite to a The Voice set, and McEntire admitted she would have Bublé, Stefani, and Snoop show up as guests on Happy’s Place in a “skinny minute.”

“Snoop wants to be on the show. Michael Bublé wants to be on the show. Gwen will just come visit, she didn’t say she wanted to be on the show,” she joked before Peterman added, “She’ll want to…When she comes and hangs out, she’ll want to.”

Catch Reba McEntire first on The Voice premiere on September 23 and then on Happy’s Place on October 18, with both shows airing on NBC.
