One of the greatest attributes of The Voice is the seemingly tight-knit and personal relationships contestants form with their coaches. Every season and every fan has their favorite pair, and this season it just might be between Snoop Dogg and Jeremy Beloate.
For Beloate, this season of The Voice has been a long and treacherous journey, as the Memphis native started on Michael Bublé’s team and then switched to team Snoop after the Knockout round. Given that Snoop rescued Beloate, the two have created quite a bond. And the sentimental bond in question revealed itself on night one of The Voice season finale on Monday, December 9.
Jeremy Beloate’s Performance of “What the World Needs Now Is Love”
Throughout the entire season, Jeremy Beloate has been stunning audience members and television viewers with his soothing yet booming R&B and Broadway vocal style. However, he seemingly touched the one person he wanted to touch the most with his rendition of “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Jackie DeShannon.
Snoop Dogg Puts on The Waterworks for His Star Pupil
Following his performance, Jeremy Beloate took center stage and seemingly became surprised when his coach scored some damp eyes and watery cheeks. Snoop Dogg, who is often considered to be the cool casual host, subverted this archetype with his facial expression and heartwarming superlatives.
With half-damp eyes Snoop Dogg stated, “It’s all about the way he makes me feel” and “Music is not always how it sounds, but also how about it makes you feel.” “You bring that feeling out of me man” and “You sounded amazing,” Snoop Dogg added.
