The Voice season 25 finale is airing this week, but we already have a clue at who’s coming in to help mentor the next round of artists looking for musical stardom!
On May 13, fans of the hit NBC series got a surprise when the network announced two new singers joining the roster of coaches for season 26. Alongside Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani returning to the iconic red chairs, NBC News revealed that legendary rapper Snoop Dogg and crooner Michael Bublé will make their coaching debut this fall. The duo are set to replace singer John Legend and country duo Dan + Shay as coaches, the latter making show history as the first group to help contestants throughout the competition.
Shortly after the news broke, The Voice‘s social team confirmed the announcement with a post on Instagram. “Pass the excitement for your Season 26 Coaches of #TheVoice: @reba, @gwenstefani, @snoopdogg & @michaelbuble!!!”
Upon seeing the news of Snoop and Michael joining The Voice, it didn’t take long for fans to get excited about what’s to come.
“That’s actually a really good variety of musical styles. Country, vintage crooning, modern pop, and rap,” one person wrote in the comments. “Michael Bublé and Snoop 🤯🤯🤣 ok this is very interesting,” another noted. “I did not expect Michael and Snoop 😮 can’t wait to see how they do as coaches 👏,” a different follower added.
While Michael and Snoop’s newfound Voice roles seem surprising, longtime viewers may remember the two have actually been on the show before. Snoop was a mega mentor for the contestants back in season 20, while Michael’s time on The Voice dates back to season 3, when he was an advisor for Blake Shelton during the Battle rounds.
As far as how Michael and Snoop’s dynamic will play out on TV this fall, fans already got a look at the growing bromance on X (formerly Twitter).
Well, we seriously can’t wait to see what these two bring to The Voice stage!
