She’s baaack!
Kelly Clarkson, one of the most successful coaches in “The Voice” history, is returning to NBC‘s reality TV show during the Season 26 finale. She will deliver a special performance of her new holiday single “You for Christmas,” co-produced by Mark Ronson. “You for Christmas” marks the latest original release from Clarkson since her Grammy-nominated 10th studio album, 2023’s “chemistry.”
To date, Clarkson is one of only two “Voice” coaches to win at least four championships, the other being Blake Shelton at nine victories. (See “The Voice” winners list.) Clarkson served as a coach between Seasons 14 and 21, plus 23, winning with Brynn Cartelli (Season 14), Chevel Shepherd (Season 15), Jake Hoot (Season 17), and Girl Named Tom (Season 21). Clarkson originally rose to fame by winning the first season of “American Idol” in 2002. She is now the host of her own successful daily talk show, “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
Who else is on deck for “The Voice” Season 26 finale? Other superstar celebs include current coaches Michael Bublé, Gwen Stefani, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg, former coaching duo Dan + Shay, plus Myles Smith, Riley Green & Ella Langley, Tears For Fears, Season 24 winner Huntley, and Season 25 winner Asher HaVon. Note that Huntley will sing “Skyline Drive,” a love song to his home state of Virginia, while Asher will perform “Thank You,” which is dedicated to his coach, Reba.
Viewers will also see two new collaborations during the two-night finale. Current coach Snoop Dogg and mega mentor Sting will sing “Another Part of Me,” while current coach Michael Bublé and playoff advisor Carly Pearce will perform “Maybe This Christmas.”
The two-hour performance show will air live on NBC on Monday, Dec. 9 at 8/7c. Host Carson Daly will then announce which of the top five finalists is the winner of “The Voice” Season 26 at the end of the final episode, which begins at 9/8c on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
“The Voice” remains the most-watched alternative series for its sixth consecutive fall and is having its best season yet on Peacock. The program recently won the Emmy Award for Best Picture Editing at the 2024 Creative Arts.
