The Voice season 26 aired its Live Finale Part 1 on December 9, 2024, featuring the top 5 contestants performing two songs each—a ballad and an up-tempo number. Coaches Gwen Stefani, Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg offered feedback while viewers voted for their favorites overnight.
The winners of season 26 will be taking home $100,000. The show opened with Martha Stewart providing feedback on the set design and the coaches’ outfits before the contestants began their performances. Each artist had the chance to showcase their vocal range and storytelling through their song choices.
The remaining contestants who performed were: Jeremy Beloate from Team Snoop, Danny Joseph from Team Reba, Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen, and Team Bublé’s Shye and Sofronio Vasquez.
Jeremy and Danny impress the judges with their performances in The Voice season 26
Jeremy Beloate, representing Team Snoop, began the evening with What the World Needs Now, gaining emotional responses from the audience and the coaches.
“You bring that feeling out of me,” Snoop said in tears.
Later in the show, Jeremy returned with a ballad version of Dancing on My Own. Gwen Stefani said, “It’s so powerful what you do.” According to the coaches, both performances showed his versatility and ability to connect with the song. Snoop Dogg appreciated Jeremy’s approach to the tracks, noting the emotional resonance of his performances.
Michael Bublé commended his stage presence and vocal control, acknowledging the strength of his overall delivery. Danny Joseph, the finalist from Team Reba, performed Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma as his opening number. Reba McEntire described his rendition as “different.”
For his second number, Danny performed Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. Reba mentioned that he had “a different sound” while performing this song. The coaches praised his ability to personalize his performances, especially in the Live Finale Part 1. Both Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg praised his dedication and connection to his music.
Shye, Sydney, and Sofronio bring their styles in The Voice
Shye, representing Team Bublé, opened her performances in The Voice with One of Us by Joan Osborne. Later, she performed Falling by Harry Styles, a piece that resonated with both the audience and her coach, Michael Bublé.
“Your voice is so good that even your microphone stand is intimidated by you,” Michael Bublé said.
According to Bublé, Shye’s ability to convey the song’s message added depth to her finale contributions. He said:
“You are the truth. You’re the real deal. This has to continue because you have to be heard. You just do.”
Meanwhile, Sydney Sterlace, the youngest contestant from Team Gwen, presented I Love You, I’m Sorry by Gracie Abrams as her first performance. Gwen said that the song highlighted her growth throughout the competition, showcasing her ability to connect with emotionally driven music.
For her second number, 16-year-old Sydney shifted gears with an up-tempo song, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.
Sofronio Vasquez, also from Team Bublé, performed Unstoppable by Sia. Later, he returned to the stage with A Million Dreams, delivering a rendition that reflected his personal journey, including his earlier experiences on The Voice Philippines.
The Voice Part 2 of the Live Finale will be airing on December 10, 2024, on NBC.
