John is joining fellow Season 25 coaches Chance the Rapper, and Dan + Shay in stepping away from the singing competition next season.

The 46-year-old, who has been turning his chair on the show since Season 16, revealed just because he’s sitting next season out, doesn’t mean he won’t be busy.

“We’ve always got so many things going on,” he told ET. “I’ll be doing a lot of shows this summer and traveling overseas.”

He’ll also be spending more time with wife Chrissy Teigen and their four children: Luna, 7, Miles, who turns 6 later this week, Esti, 1 and Wren (via surrogate), also 1.

Last week, John was able to take his two eldest kids to work to show them exactly what daddy does.

“My favorite coaching advisors joined me for the first night of #TheVoiceLives!” he posted on Instagram, along with a pair of photos of the two sitting in his prized coaching chair.

As for his own future on the show, John did give a hint of things to come.

“I’ll be back,” he promised ET. “If only I were actually going to take a break!”

IN WITH THE NEW

As John and some of his fellow coaches step away, NBC has revealed the new line-up during their upfront presentation earlier this week.

Reba McEntire, 69 – who joined the cast last season following Blake Shelton’s departure – announced in a pre-recorded video that she is returning to her red chair.

She also revealed that Blake’s wife The Voice veteran Gwen Stefani, 54, and rapper Snoop Dogg, 52, will be a coach next season.

Snoop Dogg then appeared on stage to say a few words before announcing Michael Bublé, 48, as the fourth coach.

“It’s exciting to incorporate some new people into The Voice family,” John told ET. “Having Snoop here, he’s been here as a mentor before, but having him as a coach, I think is going to be a lot of fun and reinvigorate the show a bit.”

“We’ve been around for 25 seasons and part of how we continue to stay fresh is introducing new coaches to The Voice family, and I think Michael and Snoop will do really well,” he added.

The Voice is an American television series broadcast on NBC.

“And I’m excited that Gwen and Reba will be back too because they’re both wonderful coaches.”

BLAKE’S BUSINESS

Meanwhile, a source exclusively told The U.S. Sun last month that popular former coach Blake is considering returning to the show following his exit after 23 seasons.

The God’s Country singer had been a coach on The Voice since its inception in 2011 before deciding to step away.

“Blake may have said his time on the show is over, but he has not closed the door for good,” the insider revealed.

“He would come back to the show if Gwen was invited too, and then they could enjoy working together again.”

Gwen and Blake, who got married in July 2021, met as coaches on The Voice in 2014.

John also agreed in the possibility, revealing that Blake would most likely return if Gwen was by his side.
