FOLEY, Mo. — “The Voice” finalist and Foley, Missouri, native Ruby Leigh will release a new song this month.

The single, “Love’s Like A Rose,” will be available Monday, July 29, on all streaming platforms, according to an announcement on Leigh’s Facebook page.

“The process of co-writing and recording it in Nashville was amazing!” Leigh said in the announcement. “…It’s a song about two people falling in and out of love and wondering if they’ll ever find love again.”

“Thanks so much to my fanamily for all of the support, encouraging words and sharing this journey with me,” Leigh said in the post. “We’re just getting started!”

The single will arrive just days before Leigh’s debut at the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, Aug. 2. Performing at the venue is a dream come true for the small-town country singer.

“The Opry holds an incredibly special place in my heart because so many of my heroes have stood in that circle and that’s a spiritual space that I can’t explain how honored I am to even be thought worthy enough to even just wax that part of the floor let alone stand there and sing,” Leigh said in a Facebook post.

The Grand Ole Opry “is the stage that showcases country music’s past, present and future,” according to its website. It has been open for nearly 100 years and has had performances from Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley and more.

The self-taught singer took the world by storm on NBC’s “The Voice” and was part of Reba McEntire’s team. She finished in second place behind Season 24 winner Huntley from Niall Horan’s team.
