Tom Cruise might do a movie in space

For over 20 years, Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise has been risking his life for our entertainment, performing death-defying stunts in action-packed films

If you look in the dictionary and look up the definition of daredevil, you’ll probably see a photo of Tom Cruise.

For over 20 years, the Mission Impossible star has been risking his life for our entertainment, performing death-defying stunts in action-packed films. Tom now has his eyes set on new heights, outside of the Earth’s atmosphere. The Jerry Maguire actor is focusing on doing a movie in space as he’s captivated by the paranormal and UFOs, a source revealed to In Touch.

“Tom has always been absolutely obsessed with extraterrestrial life forms, which is why he’s so determined to get his space movie off the ground,” the source explained.

The insider was referring to an upcoming movie that would be a dream come true for Tom. Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley is looking toward a project that envisions Tom heading to space with Elon Musk’s Space X to film in the stars. Edge of Tomorrow, another movie Tom starred in, director Doug Liman said of the aforementioned project “It’s a dream and a plan.”

Although the specifics haven’t been ironed out yet, the insider did confirm that Tom “can’t wait to go up there and float around.” If Tom had the chance to film in actual space, he would be doing what no actor has done before.

Another source told the news outlet in the past “many of his peers increasingly rely on stunt doubles, especially when they get to a certain age, and Tom does do it to a limited capacity, but mostly does his own impossible feats.”

Rather than rely on a stunt double, Tom has made a name for himself by doing his own stunts. Although he makes his stunts look easy on the silver screen, some of them nearly were the end of him.

Tom was almost decapitated by mechanical horses as he was filming for The Last Samurai. While Tom enjoys pulling off extreme stunts, his love for Outerspace exceeds the need to film in space to be known for doing the biggest stunt ever attempted.

“It’s not just the ultimate stunt,” the insider expressed, “but he’s also fascinated with UFOs. He spends hours reading about them and studying all the many classified documents that have been released about them in the last few years.”

They continued: “He has all sorts of high-powered telescopes and thinks people that doubt the existence of life on other planets are the delusional ones who are just kind of uneducated.”
