Finding worldwide fame and critical acclaim, he often appeared in interviews to talk about his achievements. During one such interview, Bear Grylls taught the world how to make fire with just chewing gum and battery.

In an interview with This Morning, Grylls talked about the heart of survival and how to create fire.

The heart of survival is resourcefulness. So, just with a humble thing, a chewing gum and a battery, [you can make fire].

The video sees Bear Grylls connecting the two ends of a battery with silver foil and making it touch the chewing gum. The high voltage creates intense heat as the chewing gum catches fire.

Well, turns out, this is not the only iconic thing that Bear Grylls has done as the television presenter has also worked significantly with several celebrities. Even veteran actor Sylvester Stallone had a tough time.

No Celebrity Is Safe With Bear Grylls

It was 2015 when the world was talking about Stallone and Michael B. Jordan’s film Creed. During an interview, Jordan talked about his experience while appearing on Running Wild With Bear Grylls.

Stallone revealed to The Jonathan Ross Show that he was approached by the producers of the show and they wanted to collaborate with him. Stallone nominated the name of Arnold Schwarzenegger for the job.

However, Michael B. Jordan recalled his experience alongside Bear Grylls and how they went through hell and back.

I ate boiled worms, which was not as good as it sounds, I also jumped out of a helicopter into the sea and that was the sink or swim kind of moment. I thought I was going to drown. It was next level. You figure because it was a show with Bear Grylls you would be safe, but no, it is not safe at all.

Grylls has been appearing in fewer projects in these recent years but the world still finds joy in watching the adventurer go crazy. Running Wild With Bear Grylls ran for 7 seasons before concluding in 2023.

The iconic show received a rating of 7.6/10 on IMDB. With Grylls in the lead roles alongside a plethora of celebrities, Running Wild With Bear Grylls is available to stream on Disney+ in the U.S.
