Tom Cruise’s next movie is coming into focus.
The actor is teaming up with director Alejandro González Iñárritu (The Revenant, Birdman) for the as-yet unnamed movie, which is due to start shooting as early as next month.
According to Variety, the shoot is set for the UK. Just a few months ago, Cruise was there filming Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2.

A collaboration between Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment, the impressive cast also includes Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons and Sophie Wilde.
It will be Iñárritu’s first English-language film since 2015’s The Revenant, based on a script he co-wrote in 2023. The director won Academy Awards for both Birdman The Revenant, but didn’t hit quite the same level of acclaim with his last release, Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths.
Cruise, meanwhile, is marking the start of his rekindled relationship with Warner Bros., having last teamed with the studio for Edge of Tomorrow a decade ago. The new movie is his first with Warner Bros. since he signed a deal with the studio in January.
