Nicole Kidman Reminisces Past with Tom Cruise

In recent months, Nicole Kidman has been surprisingly reminiscent of her past relationship with Tom Cruise, even though it was rumored that the pair did not end on good terms. During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the actress talked about her 1999 film with Stanley Kubrick, Eyes Wide Shut.

Here, she revealed that the film was inspired by the events of her marriage with Cruise, with the director asking her a lot of questions about the same. Since the film featured a love triangle and starred both Kidman and her then-husband.

I suppose he was mining it. There were ideas [Kubrick] was interested in. He’d ask a lot of questions. But he had a strong sense of the story he was telling. I do remember him saying, ‘Triangles are hard. You have to tread carefully when it’s a triangle.’ Because one person could feel ganged up on. But he was aware of that and knew how to manage us.

Additionally, she also spoke to The New York Times about the same film in 2020, revealing that throughout the filming of that project, she and Cruise were “happily married” through the filming of the project.

Tom Cruise Is Not Happy

It would seem that Nicole Kidman’s recent comments on her past have rubbed Tom Cruise the wrong way. A source close to the actor recently spoke to InTouch Weekly about the same, and the actor was not painted in a positive light. They started by mentioning that Cruise was not happy with how frequently the actress has been bringing up their past.

Tom doesn’t understand why Nicole constantly seems to reference the times they shared together. Even if it is more about the work they did together, it still bothers him because it’s so far in the past and something he’d like to forget.

They mentioned that even if she is talking about their time together in a professional setting, he does not understand the need for it, wanting to put it in the past and move on. They even alleged that the actor would like to forget what happened and does not need a constant reminder of it.

He’s said goodbye to that chapter of his life so long ago and doesn’t understand why she can’t do the same, especially since she’s supposedly so happy with Keith,

The source even went as far as to claim that Kidman needs to move on from that chapter of her life like Cruise has. They also brought up her marriage to Keith Urban, whom she has been together with for eighteen years.
