Tom Cruise was reportedly disappointed by Lady Gaga’s engagement to businessman Michael Polanski because the actor had developed a romantic interest in the pop star.
According to a source quoted by In Touch Weekly, Cruise, who is known for his high-profile career in Hollywood, had been admiring Lady Gaga for some time. The insider revealed that Cruise was candid about his admiration for the singer, describing her as “phenomenal.”
Lady Gaga and Michael Polanski publicly confirmed their relationship in 2020 after being spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. In 2021, Gaga expressed deep affection for Polanski, referring to him as “my whole life” in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
The source also disclosed that Cruise had been interested in collaborating with Gaga beyond just a romantic interest. The actor reportedly asked Gaga to record the theme track for his “Top Gun” reboot, indicating his desire to work closely with her.
“He wanted and still wants her to be involved in upcoming projects and thinks it would be a great way to spend time together and explore the connection,” the insider told In Touch Weekly.
