Hollywood icon Tom Cruise celebrated his 62nd birthday on July 3, and it was a family affair. The star was reportedly spotted with his sister, Marian Henry (née Marian Mapother), at a helipad in Battersea, London alongside Mission Impossible 8 director Christopher McQuarrie and his wife Heather.

The actor, who had been filming for the eighth instalment of the film series, flashed his charming smile for the cameras on his special day.

Cruise has famously maintained close ties with his sisters, Lee Anne Gillotte, Cass Capazorio and Marian Henry. After his mother Mary Lee separated from her husband – who Cruise has called a “bully” – and suffered a slipped disc, per reports, Cruise was forced to grow up fast. At 11, he was taking up odd jobs to make ends meet.

Now, the Mapother siblings are established in their own lives, but remain tight-knit even after the unfortunate passing of their mother in 2017. So, what else do we know about Tom Cruise’s sister, Marian Henry?

Henry is a property agent in the Tampa Bay and Clearwater area.

Per her LinkedIn page, Henry is a sales associate at Realty Executives Suncoast specialising in the Tampa Bay and Clearwater area. Her website states that she’s lived in Florida for 20 years and works with commercial and residential real estate. She often posts memes about the real estate industry on her Instagram and has a newsletter “packed with tips, tricks and laughter”, she mentioned in one post.

She also has a bachelor’s degree from Kean University and is a “teacher of the handicapped”, per her LinkedIn profile. The property agent adds that she is “a teacher at heart” with a degree in that field, and that she has spent time volunteering. Per People, her mother was a special-education teacher as well.

She is reportedly a Scientologist like her brother

Henry is reportedly a Scientologist, much like her famous brother and the rest of her siblings, according to Hello! Her son, Cal Henry, and his wife, Marjorye Henry, are also Scientologists, per The Sun. Cruise’s three sisters have collectively donated at least US$1 million to the Church of Scientology.

The same publication reported in 2019 that Cruise and his sisters had bought and moved into separate luxury flats at The Skyview, Florida, which is owned by Scientologist Moises Agami. The three sisters occupy the fourth, fifth and seventh floors, while the Top Gun star owns the two-story penthouse on the eighth and ninth floors. Lee Anne is reportedly directly involved in the condo’s management as the treasurer.

Her son is a musician

According to his Instagram, Marian’s son, Cal Henry, has been a guitarist in a band called WD-HAN since 2008. His wife, Marjorye Henry, is the manager of the band, per its website. The band has been on tour in Taiwan and also supports causes like the American Cancer Society. Cal also appears in his wife’s Instagram reels, which are usually comedy skits or glimpses into their life together.

She’s a passionate volunteer

Henry is also passionate about the environment, and often posts about keeping beaches clean and protecting the manatees. She also does volunteer work, like donating toys to foster children on Christmas, and contributes to the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.
