“Kasi music talaga eh, and now I was given the chance to penetrate the mainstream, which is America, gagamitin ko talaga ’yun. Kumbaga, if I have to produce myself, if I have to reach out to people, big names… a no is a no, and a yes is a yes. So try lang ako. Kung makatanggap ako ng no, then move on to another,” he explained.

If I have to produce myself, if I have to reach out to people, big names, I’ve always been like that, like, a no is a no, and a yes is a yes. So I’m just trying. If I get a no, then move on to another.)
Vasquez also revealed that he is already signed under Republic Records but plans to use his winnings to further sustain and expand his music career.
“Meron din po ako talagang automatic na recording label dun sa Republic Records,” he said.

Vasquez credited much of his success to his mentor on The Voice, Michael Bublé, describing him as a father figure throughout his journey.
“Michael Bublé is just an amazing person. He is just so kind, he is very genuine sa akin kaya forever kong ite-treasure kung paano niya ako minahal. Hindi man kami parehas ng lahi, pinaparamdam niya sa akin kung paano magmahal ang isang tao kahit hindi mo kadugo,” he shared.

Following his win, Vasquez has been busy with media appearances and guestings across the Philippines while continuing to focus on his music career.
