The Voice season 26 aired the last Blind Auditions earlier this week on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. The segment saw the coaches complete their teams ahead of the Battles phase which is set to air in the coming week.

One such singer was Cassidy Lee, who previously appeared on the show during season 18. At the time, she didn’t make it past the Blind Auditions. However, in season 26, Michael Bublé was impressed by Cassidy’s rendition of You’re No Good and turned his chair for her. She joined the new coach’s team after he praised her skills as a guitarist.

About his selection, Michael Bublé said that he had a thing for “character voices” and commented on her “raspy, rocky voice.” He said he couldn’t wait to choose songs for Cassidy to perform.

In The Voice season 26 episode 5, Cassidy Lee returned to the NBC show after previously auditioning during season 18. The contestant sang Gold Dust Women during her initial appearance but didn’t receive a chair turn.

Cassidy recalled her season 18 audition on The Voice and stated that she tried to have a “positive outlook” and cracked “some jokes” about revealing her Nick Jonas-themed email ID to the coach.

“I said that to him on national television, which still haunts me to this day,” Cassidy said during her The Voice season 26 audition.

In episode 5 of the NBC reality show, Cassidy sang You’re No Good by Linda Ronstadt and earned herself the newest coach’s praise. While praising her performance, Michael Bublé felt thankful that the other coaches had already “touched their buttons” so many times that they couldn’t do it during Cassidy’s act.

The coach told The Voice season 26 contestant that her voice was “unique.” He said it was “feminine” yet had a “rockin’ growl,” which blew him away. He further said he loved that she played the guitar during her audition.

Cassidy was in tears and said she felt “intense” pressure while performing due to her previous appearance on the show. She stated she was “stoked” to be on Team Bublé. She called him a “legend” and added she could learn a lot from him.
